It’s Championship Weekend at Borgata as the $3 million Guaranteed 2014 Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship Event begins with its first opening session Sunday, Jan. 26.
The Championship is a $3,300 + $200, Deep Stack (30,000 in chips) No Limit (Re-entry) tournament that starts with Day 1A Sunday at 11am with Day 1B Monday at 11am.
The five-day tournament plays down to a winner Friday, Jan. 31. Go here for the full structure.
Satellites for the Championship Event begin tonight with Event 42, a $350 + $50 No Limit Hold’em tournament that will send one in 10 players to the championship. Five other satellites are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday (Sunday winners will play Day 1B of the championship).
Two Main Event tournament schedules are on tap for Saturday, Jan. 25 as well:
Event 17 - Sat. Jan. 25, 11am - $100,000 Guaranteed $350 + $50 Big Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Event 18– Sat. Jan.25, Noon - $500 + $60 Omaha High/Low 8B Semi Turbo

Meanwhile, the Borgata Bad Beat Jackpot has been growing steadily during the open and now comes in at $353, 263 going into Today’s (Jan. 24) play. The Small Bad Beat Jackpot is at $50K.
And perhaps most importantly for this weekend, the Borgata Poker Room is heated. In fact, polar vortex or not, the poker action is downright hot.
