It’s official, the 2014 Borgata Winter Poker Open is a record setter bringing in the biggest field ever for a Winter Poker Open Championship.
The $3 million guaranteed, $3,500 buy-in tournament attracted 1,229 entries and put up a total prize pool of $4,055,700. The total entries passed the 2013 Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship by about 200 entries. The eventual winner will take home $842,379.
“It is a remarkable accomplishment to once again set an attendance record in this, our ninth Winter Poker Open,” said Borgata Senior Vice President of Operations, Joe Lupo. “We genuinely appreciate the trust, value and loyalty our players place in Borgata’s poker product as it evolves and improves.”

This year’s Borgata Winter Poker Open finishes up Saturday, February 1st with the final event being New Jersey’s Next Poker Millionaire—an online event with a live final table in the Borgata Poker Room.
Eight players have been announced for the final table, including five participants who qualified through BorgataPoker.com, and an additional three from its partner site, PartyPoker.com. The finalists for this exclusive televised tournament will meet at Borgata to compete for a championship prize of $1 million and the title of New Jersey’s Next Poker Millionaire.
