Day 1B of Event 5, a $350 + $50 Double Play Deepstack tournament is underway at the Borgata Summer Poker Open, kicking off another week of play.
The Day 1A field of 144 was trimmed down to 19 Sunday, so you gotta figure more than a few players will take advantage of the Borgata Double Play feature, which allows players busting out on Day 1A to re-buy today (225 entries and counting). The field should easily beat the tournament's $100,000 prize pool guarantee.
Here's a look at the rest of today's scheduled secondary tournaments.
The week starts off after a strong weekend that saw three more Borgata trophies handed out. More than $340,000 (total buy-in) was in play among 874 entrants for the three main event tournaments, and that's not counting secondary afternoon and evening events.
One highlight was the $46,740 win of Adilbek Karaguishiyev of Jersey City in Event 4, a $350 -$50 tournament that attracted 553 entrants and a total buy-in of just under $200,000. It's Karaguishiyev's second Borgata trophy.
